Prospectour Terms of Service

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and [PLACEHOLDER — legal entity name] ("Prospectour", "we", "us") governing your use of the Prospectour mobile app (the "App"). Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility (18+)

The App is rated 18+. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the App. By using the App you confirm that you are 18 or over.

3. Your account

You may register with an email and password, or with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up. You may delete your account at any time (see Section 12 and our Privacy Policy).

4. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms.

5. Virtual items — nuggets and gems

The App uses two in-game currencies: nuggets (a soft currency, earned by playing and used to claim squares) and gems (a premium currency).

• Nuggets and gems are a limited licence to use in-game features only. They have no monetary value, are not your property, and cannot be exchanged for real money, goods, or anything of value outside the App.
• Cash-out is not available. Although some in-game text may describe gems as nominally cashable, redeeming gems for money is disabled, and we are under no obligation to enable it. Nothing in these Terms or in the App is a promise that a cash-out or real-money payout will ever be offered. If such a feature is ever introduced, it will be governed by separate terms and eligibility rules.
• We may modify, manage, regulate, suspend, or remove virtual items, and change how the in-game economy works (including earn rates, prices, and balances), at any time. Virtual items and balances do not survive account deletion.

6. Purchases

The App offers optional consumable in-app purchases (currency packs), for example:

Prices are set by the store and your region and may change. All purchases are billed by Apple or Google through their in-app purchase systems and are subject to their terms. Because the items are consumable and delivered immediately, they are generally non-refundable except where required by law; refund requests are handled by the relevant app store, not by us.

7. Advertising

The App may show optional rewarded ads. Watching an ad is always your choice and grants an in-game boost. See the Privacy Policy for how ad providers process data and how to manage your ad choices.

8. Referral programme

You may invite others to Prospectour using your referral link or code. If a person you refer signs up and meets the qualifying conditions we set, you may earn virtual currency rewards, which are paid out over a number of qualifying days rather than all at once.

• Rewards are virtual items only (Section 5) and have no monetary value.
• To prevent abuse, we use anti-fraud checks, including a one-way hashed device identifier. We may withhold, reverse, or cancel any reward, and suspend participation, where we reasonably believe a referral is fraudulent, self-referred, duplicated, or otherwise abuses the programme.
• We may change, pause, or end the referral programme, or its rewards and qualifying conditions, at any time.

9. Location use and your safety

The App uses your precise location to let you claim and own real-world map squares. Play safely and lawfully. Do not trespass on private property or enter restricted, dangerous, or prohibited areas to play. Do not use the App while driving or operating machinery, and stay aware of your surroundings, traffic, and hazards at all times. Owning a map "square" in the game gives you no real-world rights over that land. You are solely responsible for your conduct and safety while playing.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to: cheat, exploit, or use bots, emulators, GPS spoofing, or automation; create multiple accounts to abuse referrals or other rewards; interfere with or attack the service; reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by law; or use the App for any unlawful purpose.

11. Intellectual property

The App and all its content (excluding third-party map and weather data, which belong to their providers — see in-app attribution) are owned by [PLACEHOLDER — legal entity name] or its licensors. Map data is © OpenFreeMap, © OpenMapTiles, and © OpenStreetMap contributors. Weather data is provided by Open-Meteo.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account or the web deletion page at https://prospectour.co.uk/delete-account. On termination, your licence ends and your virtual items are forfeited.

13. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that map or location data is accurate. Nothing in these Terms affects your non-excludable statutory or consumer rights.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of virtual items or game progress. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. 15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date, and we will notify you in-app of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
